With 10 years behind the chair, I specialize in Custom Color and Specialty Blonding by creating dimensional, personalized looks that are tailored to each client. I also have a passion for beautiful haircuts that enhance your natural features while bringing each client’s vision to life. My favorite part of doing hair is making people feel confident, beautiful, and completely at home in my chair! Hi, I’m Kat! 🤎 I’m a San Diego-based hairstylist & colorist with 17 years of experience behind the chair, recently named Best Colorist 2025 by San Diego Magazine, and the owner of Drift + Mane in Bird Rock, La Jolla. I specialize in dimensional, lived-in color, luxury blonding, rich brunettes, reds, gray blending, & haircutting. My approach is all about creating beautiful, effortless hair that feels like you — while always keeping the health and integrity of your hair at the forefront. I love building long-term relationships with my clients and creating a relaxed, welcoming experience where you can truly unwind. Drift + Mane was created with that same intention — a small, thoughtfully designed hair studio inspired by the natural movement of the ocean & hair. Originally from St. Louis, Stephanie has called San Diego home since 2015. With 18 years of experience behind the chair, she specializes in dimensional color and hair extensions, creating effortlessly beautiful, customized looks that enhance each client’s natural beauty. Known for her warm personality and thoughtful approach, Stephanie believes great hair is about more than just the finished look—it’s about making every client feel confident, comfortable, and cared for. When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll find her enjoying life in sunny San Diego and making memories with her 7-year-old daughter.
